چکیده

We present a nonperturbative numerical evaluation of the one-photon electron self energy for hydrogenlike ions with low nuclear charge numbers Z = 1 to 5. Our calculation for the 1S state has a numerical uncertainty of 0.8 Hz for hydrogen and 13 Hz for singly-ionized helium. Resummation and convergence acceleration techniques that reduce the computer time by about three orders of magnitude were employed in the calculation. The numerical results are compared to results based on known terms in the expansion of the self energy in powers of Zα. PACS numbers 12.20.Ds, 31.30.Jv, 06.20.Jr, 31.15.-p Typeset using REVTEX

Nuclear-Charge Screening in Positronium Formation from Helium Atoms

An analytical treatment of the electron screening effect within an active-electron model is given for positronium formation from helium atoms. A first-order distorted wave approximation with correct boundary conditions is applied to evaluate the transition amplitude. In the range of impact energy for which the introduced perturbative approach is valid, both the total and differential cross sect...

Time-dependent analysis of carrier density and potential energy in spherical centered defect InGaAs/AlGaAs quantum dot (SCDQD)

Interaction and correlation effects in quantum dots play a fundamental role in defining both their equilibrium and transport properties. Numerical methods are commonly employed to study such systems. In this paper we investigate the numerical calculation of quantum transport of electrons in spherical centered defect InGaAs/AlGaAs quantum dot (SCDQD). The simulation is based on the imaginary time...

Investigation of Capsulated Epoxy and DCPD in Epoxy Based Self-healing Composites - DFT Calculation and Experimental Analysis

Epoxy and dicyclopentadien (DCPD) are two common healing agents, which are introduced into epoxy matrix through encapsulation in order to prepare self-healing composites. In a comparative study, the compatibility of healing agents and epoxy matrix is investigated through experimental tests and DFT calculations. The interaction energy is considered to be the determinative parameter in DFT calcul...

Antimalarial Activity of some Conjugated Arylhydrazones: Ab Initio Calculation of Nuclear Quadrupole Coupling Constants (NQCC)

“Malaria” is a life-threatening blood disease in tropical regions that spreads by the bite of the Anopheles mosquito. Antimalarial medications are designed to cure or prevent this infection, and prosperous achievements in this area mostly depend on the knowing the drug-receptor interactions and active sites of medicine. This improvement can be achieved through understanding the electronic struc...
